There are three powertrains available for the Durango, all of which are great for West Orange drives. The standard is a V6 with the ability to churn out 295-horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. For the R/T model, a 5.7L V8 that produces up to 360-horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque becomes standard. The top SRT is home to standard all-wheel drive, plus a 6.2L V8 that can make 475-horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard with the other two engines, but all-wheel drive is also an option.
Seating for up to six or seven will be found in your Durango, depending on the trim level you choose. Behind the third row, this SUV boasts 17.2 cubic feet for groceries and other gear. You can easily fold down the very back to gain access to 43.3 cubic feet. When it comes time to move cargo rather than people around Summit, simply fold down the second row as well so you can have up to 85.1 cubic feet.
Several features that keep people comfortable as they cruise around come standard for the new Durango. You get tri-zone automatic climate control, for example, plus a power-adjustable driver's seat. The seats are supportive and the positioning of the driver's seat gives you a commanding view of the road ahead.
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are both standard, plus an 8.4-inch touchscreen and both USB-A and USB-C ports. You can listen to all of your favorite music on the six-speaker sound system with the standard satellite radio. The GT has an available Premium Group I package, which will add a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a nine-speaker sound system, wireless device charging, and more.
No matter which trim level you choose, your Durango will give you standard blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. All models are also equipped with handy rear parking sensors. On select models, the Durango can add adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, and lane departure warning. Automatic high beams are also available when you choose certain trim levels.
